- שְׂמָאלָאch. = h. שְׂמֹאל. Targ. Num. 22:26; a. e., v. סְמָלָא.Y.Ned.1, 37a top ש׳ הרי זו שבועה if one swears ‘by my left hand, it is a binding oath.
